What the current site-owned code stores and which external services receive requests.
In your browser
Local storage records the analytics choice (`tba:analytics-consent`), an explicit light or dark choice (`tba:theme`), and saved article metadata with save times (`tba:saved`). The analytics choice is optional and does not gate the site. System theme preference removes the stored theme. Language is not stored.
Contact messages
Contact submissions are sent by the server to EmailJS at `https://api.emailjs.com/api/v1.0/email/send`. They include the submitted name, email, subject and message plus language, source URL, submission time and site name. The site's repository does not define the retention period, final mailbox recipient or who can access the resulting messages.
Booking providers and measurement
GetYourGuide and Viator widgets request provider resources automatically when the localized homepage or an article containing a widget renders. Following a direct affiliate link is a separate, user-clicked request to the destination site.
Google Analytics 4 and PostHog are loaded only after the visitor accepts analytics. When enabled, they measure site usage such as page views and engagement; PostHog may also record privacy-masked session replays. The site does not currently send custom affiliate-click events to either analytics provider. This does not describe data handling by GetYourGuide, Viator, EmailJS or a destination site.
